HOLLY POND — Good Hope’s reign over Cullman County will continue for another year. 

The Raiders swept West Point (25-22, 25-17, 25-12) in Thursday’s championship match to take home their fourth consecutive county title. 

Good Hope won a tightly contested opening set before dominating down the stretch to stake claim to the trophy. 

“I’m incredibly proud of this team and their resilience,” Good Hope coach Natasha Holder said. “Coming into the tournament as the No. 4 seed, we knew we were underdogs — but our girls stepped up when it mattered most. They trusted the game plan, had confidence in themselves, and most importantly, supported and encouraged each other. The energy from our student section and the bench gave us that extra push during key moments — and it made all the difference. Winning county for the fourth straight year is an amazing accomplishment, and having our middle school and junior varsity teams also take home county titles makes it even more special. It’s a testament to the hard work of our athletes, coaches and parents.”

In the junior varsity title match, Good Hope held off West Point (26-24, 18-25, 15-10).
