From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, “Peter and the Starcatcher” playfully explores the depths of greed and despair…and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.

“This show is a high-energy, fast-paced adventure for both the actors and audience,” Angela Green, director and Theatre program instructor, said. “The set, designed by Mark Eccleston, is like a playscape jungle gym for the actors. I wanted this production to feel like a show you might have put on in the backyard for the neighborhood. As if some things, like a treehouse, could be turned into a pirate ship and curtains could be fashioned out of old bedsheets.”

James Knear of Arab will star as Peter, with Tristan Moseley of Mobile as Prentiss and Em Sharp of Bremen as Ted.

Elijah Hammick of Arab will portray the pirate Black Stache, with Ella Gibbs of Arab as Smee, Brynn McCain of Arab as Sanchez, Joshia Johnson of Cullman as Greggors and Breanna Briscoe of Arley, Kenzie Johnson of Pinson and Rebekah Clay of Homewood as additional pirates.
