Good Hope hosting Halloween party

GOOD HOPE — The city of Good Hope will get in the spooky spirit once again this Halloween, welcoming local kids and families for a costume contest, photos, and (of course) loads of candy at this year’s Halloween celebration in the lower area of Good Hope City Hall.

Set to run from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, the family-friendly party allows parents to drop by early in the evening with their children, the better to leave plenty of time to set off on later trick-or-treat adventures around the neighborhood.

Good Hope Mayor Jerry Bartlett, members of the Good Hope city council, and city hall staff will play dress-up along with everyone else, handing out prizes for the top three kids’ finishers in this year’s Halloween costume contest. There’s no cost to attend the annual event. Follow the city on social media or contact city hall at 256-739-3757 for more information about this year’s Halloween party.
