Good Hope climbed up three positions to No. 5 in Class 4A when the Alabama Sports Writers Association released its latest batch of high school football rankings on Tuesday night.

The Raiders, who improved to 4-0 following a 42-27 victory versus Tanner last Friday, jumped Hokes Bluff, Hillcrest-Evergreen and Headland — all of which lost — in the rankings.

Addison, meanwhile, dropped out of the 2A poll following a 16-10 loss to Red Bay.

The Bulldogs are now 2-2 this season.

Fairview (3-1) once again received a vote in 4A.

No other local teams were ranked, nor did any receive votes.
