Fairview led just 33-27 at halftime but outscored the Lady Raiders 39-18 in the second half.

“I think we came out slow,” Yeager said. “I give Good Hope credit. They played very well in the first half. We could tell they wanted it just as bad as we did. After halftime, we knew we had to pick it up or our season would come to an end. We started rebounding and playing better defense.”

Added McKelvy: “I am proud of how far the team has come. I’m so glad we won, but we have to focus and be ready for the championship on Thursday.”

Good Hope’s top scorer was Ivey Maddox, who netted 15 points. Bailey Tetro (10), Abby Neighbors (seven), Heather Tetro (seven) and Savanna Derrick (six) also contributed in the season-ending loss.
