FISHING: Cullman native Wiggins finishes 3rd at Bassmaster Classic; Lee places 42nd

Jesse Wiggins finished third at this year’s Bassmaster Classic.
The Cullman native and Addison High graduate compiled a three-day total of 43 pounds, 14 ounces.
He hauled in 17 pounds, 4 ounces on Sunday to briefly vault to the top of the leaderboard.
Ott DeFoe won the annual event, which took place on the Tennessee River, with a total of 49 pounds, 3 ounces.
Jacob Wheeler (45 pounds, 5 ounces) was the runner-up.
Two-time defending champion Jordan Lee, a Cullman High graduate, finished 42nd with two-day total of 13 pounds, 10 ounces.
