Holly Pond beat Vinemont 13-6 in the first round of the Class 3A, Area 13 Tournament on Monday.

The Lady Broncos broke the game open with a seven-run fifth inning and will face top-seeded New Hope on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. for a spot in the championship game.

Taylor Simmons led Holly Pond with three hits, while Kaylee Stallings (two RBIs), Madyson Rickman (RBI) and Ciera James (RBI) had two hits apiece. Stallings added a home run.

Madison Cothern (three RBIs), Lexy Smith (two RBIs), Maddie Heatherly (two RBIs), Kalliann Perkins (RBI) and Emili Perry (RBI) provided one hit apiece.

Maddie Oliver paced the Lady Eagles with three hits and two RBIs.

Mackenzie Lawrence (two RBIs) and Emilie Hoffman (RBI) totaled two hits apiece.

Katelyn Evans (RBI), Makayla Noblett, Hailee Moore and Brookyn Knott snagged one hit apiece for Vinemont, which will duke it out with Brindlee Mountain on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
