Cullman County’s Jesse Wiggins easily sailed into the semi-final round Friday, compiling a two-day 98.2-pound total at Smith Lake.
His total was the highest among 80 anglers
As a part of Group B, Wiggins soared to a comfortable lead on his first day on the water, reeling in more than 72 pounds of bass.
The top 20 in each class advance to Saturday’s semi-final round for the $100,000 prize.
