July 26 and 27 The 2009 Miss North Jefferson County Scholarship Pageant, an official Miss Alabama preliminary pageant, will be held July 27, 2008. July 28-31 Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold VBS on July 28 through 31 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. featuring Friendship Trek. On Friday there will be a special outdoor adventure day at Rickwood Caverns. The cost is $5. For information call 631-6590.



Camp Meeting

Aug. 3 There will be a camp meeting at Gardendale-Mt Vernon United Methodist Church. The first Sunday to kick off this series is Aug. 3 and will continue for the rest of the month. Worship times are 8:30 a.m. blended service, 9:45 a.m. contemporary service and 11 a.m. traditional service. The themes will also be included in our 6:30 p.m. services concluding with a healing service on Aug. 31. We provide excellent childcare for all our services.
