Cullman Fire Station No. 3 will officially open with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday. 

Due to the extensive storm damage from Monday’s storms, the ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled Tuesday for Cullman Fire Rescue Station 3 has been delayed. 

Fire Rescue and city officials released a statement noting that their efforts are directed at helping the community in the storm’s aftermath and maintaining efficient emergency response.

Fire Station 3 is operational and was beneficial to the response challenges during the storm. Fire Station 3 along with improved minimum staffing levels helped provide fire units in all three fire station territories during the storms. 

In addition, utilizing the Fire Department Command Center was critical to coordinating fire department response to about 40 storm-related incidents in a two-hour period, according the news release.
