Murder indictment reached in connection with Cullman woman’s death

A man charged in the 2016 death of a Cullman woman was indicted for murder and other charges this week by a Cullman County grand jury.
Jerome Flanigan, 36, was arrested and charged in March by Cullman Police Department investigators with the September 2016 murder of Leslie Clements, 33, whose body was found inside at apartment on Fuller Street. Police also charged Kayla Thursby, 31, with murder in connection with the death, but no indictment has appeared regarding her.
Flanigan was also indicted for arson, second degree, and theft of property, first degree.
