Light agenda at Hanceville council meeting

The Hanceville City Council held a lengthy executive session to discuss pending litigation at its regular meeting Thursday, but took no action when it reconvened, adjourning the meeting after having previously moved through a light agenda.

In business at the meeting, the council:

Heard public comment from Kristy Barnett on the upcoming opening of the Wallace State community garden program.

Agreed to pay an invoice to Good Hope Contracting totaling $17,821.75 for paving work done at Hopewell Drive.

Council member Justin Pruett was not in attendance at the June 14 meeting.

The next regular council meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. June 28 at Hanceville City Hall. A 6 p.m. public work session will immediately precede the meeting.
