Alabama wideout and former Fultondale student-athlete ArDarius Stewart talks with media following Alabama’s, 33-14, win over Texas A&M on October 22.

According to reports out of New York, former Fultondale and Alabama football player ArDarius Stewart has been cut by the Jets following a two-game PED suspension. Stewart was set to return from his suspension this Thursday as New York visits Cleveland.

A 2017 third-round pick, Stewart caught six passes for 82 yards as a rookie.

According to Jets beat writer Dennis Waszak Jr., decision makers in New York opted to cut the second-year wideout rather than cut someone on the 53-man roster. Stewart could still join the team’s practice squad. Time will tell.
