Early Signing Period: 5 more softball players sign scholarships

- Gardendale senior Carlee McCondichie signing a softball scholarship to Auburn University.
The second week of November brought more signing ceremonies to north Jefferson County. Four local athletes signed scholarships earlier in the month as part of the early signing period.
Below is a list of softball players who have signed scholarships this week:
• Carlee McCondichie, Gardendale softball. As a junior for the Rockets last season, McCondichie finished with a .482 batting average in 166 at-bats. She drove in 51 runs on 80 hits, including 29 extra-base hits. The all-state infielder signed with Auburn on Wednesday.
• Graci Graves, Pinson Valley softball. The infielder signed with Coastal Alabama Community College on Friday in the Pinson Valley High School auditorium alongside two teammates.
• Savannah Mayes, Pinson Valley softball. Mayes signed with Stillman College.
• Hope Cole, Pinson Valley softball. The senior pitcher has signed with Marion Military Institute.
• Savannah Woodard, Hayden softball. Woodard, a senior infielder for the Wildcats, honored her longtime verbal pledge and signed with Alabama on Friday.
