Cullman Police make multiple arrests for drugs, forgery

Cullman police investigators have arrested six residents on charges ranging from drug trafficking to forgery in separate cases.
Cullman Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit arrested James Tyler Hinman, 37, and Asia Ryan Graham, 28, both of Hanceville on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers, with a search warrant, went to the Hanceville residence of Hinman and Graham where they recovered about four ounces of methamphetamine, approximately 389 grams of marijuana, 20 Alprazolam pills, Tramadol pills, Carisoprodol pills, heroin, marijuana wax, drug paraphernalia and a handgun, according to a press release from the police department.
Hinman and Graham were booked on the charges at Cullman County Detention Center and have been released.
The Crime Suppression Unit also arrested Justin Dwayne Turner, 36, and Christine Louise Karrer, 34, both of Hanceville, for reckless endangerment and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance for selling methamphetamine. Both Turner and Karrer were booked in at the Cullman County Detention Center. and have been released.
In a separate case, Crime Suppression Unit members observed a pickup in the Shell Station parking lot on U.S. South, with Matt Hill, 34, of Falkville, driving. Officers reported that Hill had outstanding felony warrants and left from the scene speeding.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle at the Kensington Station apartment complex. When officers approached, Hill was gone from the vehicle. The subject inside the vehicle was identified as Jake Aaron Williams, 30, of Hanceville, according to the press release.
The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office K-9 deputy responded to the scene and the K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered drug paraphernalia along with multiple items related to identity theft, forgery and forgery devices, police reported.
Recovered was a printer, multiple blank checks, drivers licenses, credit/debit cards, Social Security information and banking account information as well as names, addresses and phone numbers.
Williams was charged with identity theft, criminal possession of a forged instrument, third degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, multiple counts of forgery, third degree, criminal possession of a forgery device and illegal possession of a credit/debit card. He was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where he remains incarcerated. Hill was later located and arrested on the same charges as well as his outstanding warrants. Hill also remains incarcerated at the Cullman County Detention Center.
