Carrol Acres search warrant leads to marijuana trafficking arrests

Two men face marijuana trafficking charges after state and local investigators discovered an alleged six pounds of the drug during a controlled buy operation this week at a Cullman subdivision.

Nicholas Moody, 18, of Cullman and Dylan Moody, 24, of Riverside, California were arrested and charged with a single count of trafficking in marijuana Thursday following an investigation led by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) and assisted by investigators with the Cullman Police Department (CPD).

Both men were booked in to the Cullman County Detention Center. Bond for each has been set at $1 million.

According to a CPD release, law enforcement executed a search warrant Thursday at the Carroll Acres subdivision in the Cullman.

“Narcotic agents conducted a controlled mail delivery operation, followed by the execution of a search warrant on Elm Drive,” CPD said. “Agents recovered approximately 6 pounds of Marijuana and $1,047 in cash from the residence. “
