U.S. Sen. Luther Strange will more than likely be in Cullman Friday evening for a Cullman County Republican Party fundraiser, joining challengers U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks and former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore.
Strange’s campaign officials told The Times they were “90 percent sure” the incumbent senator will participate in the annual local GOP meeting at the Cullman Civic Center.
Both Moore and Brooks are confirmed to address local Republicans, and each will have about 20 minutes, said Cullman County Republican Party Chairman Waid Harbison.
Questions will be taken after all 3 candidates speak.
In addition to the candidates appearing, the local GOP is hosting a dinner and silent auction as a fundraiser.
The silent auction will be 6-7 p.m. The dinner and program will take place from 7-9 p.m.
Awards will be given away in five categories to local Republicans: Volunteer of the Year, Republican Woman of the Year, Young Republican of the Year, Legacy Award, and elected official of the year.
Polls show Moore, Brooks and Strange are the top candidates among voters.
