Rockets split with Shades Valley

The Gardendale Rockets split a doubleheader with Shades Valley on Saturday, winning the opener, 12-6 and losing the nightcap, 8-5.
Gardendale 12,
Shades Valley 6
Trey Williamon threw four innings of three-hit ball to pick up the win. Williamon (1-1), struck out two and allowed three earned runs.
At the plate, Josh Headley went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice.
Cameron Brewer went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
Shades Valley 8,
Gardendale 5
Conner McCain (0-1), took the loss as the Rockets slipped to 3-4 on the season.
McCain threw five innings of seven-hit ball and struck out one.
He allowed five earned runs.
At the plate, McCain went 2-for-4 with one RBI and Adam Erwin went 2-for-4 with one RBI as well.
Fultondale 13,
Shades Mountain 9
The Wildcats (3-1), got big games from Nathan Graham and Steven Dodgen.
Graham went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and Dodgen went 3-for-4 with three runs scored.
Fultondale’s offense totaled 17 base hits.
McAdory 9,
Mortimer Jordan 8
The highlight for Jordan, was Joey Payton’s home run and two RBIs.
