Rockets top No. 1 Tigers, 4-2

In their final game in Gulf Shores during spring break, the Gardendale Rockets upended the No. 1-ranked, 4A school in the state, Childersburg Tigers, 4-2.
Trey Williamon led the way, firing a four-hittter and striking out four. Williamon (3-0) didn’t allow an earned run, as he scattered four Tiger singles.
At the plate, Williamon went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs on a two-run double in the second inning to give the Rockets a 3-0 lead.
Rob Mitchell went 1-for-1 as he recorded a pinch hit RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Rockets improved to 7-8 on the season.
