School to host fund-raiser

Santa and holiday pictures will be made at Mt. Olive Elementary School on Dec. 3. You may sit with Santa or choose a holiday background. Pictures will be taken by Joe McEachern Photography. A package of two 5x7s each with a digital mat, eight wallet-sized and 36 holiday gift stickers is available for only $20 or two packages for $36. Everyone is welcome. Siblings may have their pictures made together.

NJN closed Thursday

The North Jefferson News’ offices will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving. The deadline for classified advertising for the Nov. 29 edition will be today at noon. Our offices will reopen on Friday at 8 a.m.

Holiday garbage pickup

Garbage pickup days will be affected this week for the following towns:

• There will be no garbage pickup on Thursday in Warrior, Gardendale and Kimberly. Thursday pick-ups will be moved to Friday and Friday pick-up will be moved to Saturday.

• Garbage pick-up in Fultondale and Morris will be one day late.
