“Super excited and thankful to say that I have committed to UAH!” Willoughby said in an Instagram post. “Thank you to everyone that has helped get me here. All the glory goes to God. #GoChargers.”

The two-way player earned a spot on the All-State second team in Class 2A after averaging 18.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per contest for the 19-13 Eagles last season. She also tallied 54 blocks and 47 steals en route to securing The Times’ 2015-16 All-Area Girls Player of the Year award.

Willoughby is set to participate in the North-South All-Star Basketball game July 20 in Montgomery.

She’ll join Cullman standout Baylee Johnson at UAH in 2017. Johnson averaged 9.4 points per bout for the Chargers during her freshman campaign. UAH recently offered Fairview’s Taylor Ann Yeager as well.

Willoughby has kept busy this summer, most recently helping her Southern Starz AAU team notch the Division II National Championship in Emerson, Georgia over the weekend in 11th-grade competition.
