Matthew Murphree and Katey Hale

Michael and Vicki Hale of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Katey Hale, to Matthew Murphree, son of Chris and Holly Murphree of Cullman.

Ms. Hale is a 2011 graduate of Cullman High School, and a 2015 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is currently employed with UAB Medical Center.

Mr. Murphree is a 2011 graduate of Cullman High School and a 2014 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is also employed with UAB Medical Center.

The couple plans to exchange vows at 5 p.m. Sept. 24, 2016, at Cullman First Baptist Church.
