Start planning for fall garden now; watch out for insects

Garden tip: Now is the time to prepare your garden for fall planting. You can set out collards, plant turnip seeds, radishes, tendergreens, mustard and squash. You have to watch out for the insects in the fall because they attack more than spring.
• If you have pictures of your graduation, we need for you to get in touch with Ray Trotter at 647-3743. The pictures that hung in the hall were removed years ago. The alumni club is replacing and restoring the pictures to place in the hall of Warrior School. We are looking for the years: 1939, 1942, 1949, 1951, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1970 through 1978 and 1980 through 1992. If you have a copy of your annual and picture of the graduating class of these years, feel free to call me also.
• Happy birthday to: Haley Brooks on Aug. 23; Seth Mikell on Aug. 26; Miles Edward Sloan and Daniel Thrift on Aug. 27; Carolyn Jolly on Aug. 29; and Austin Adcox on Aug. 31. Have a great day and year.
• A revival will take place on Aug. 24-27 at Water Stone Baptist Church in Warrior. Bill Sage will be the speaker at 7 p.m. Call for more information 647-9592.
• The regular gathering of many of the churches in the Warrior area will have their meeting at Life and Praise Assembly of God Church on Skyline Drive Road. This is where many of the churches gather for a great service on the fifth Sunday. The service starts at 5 p.m. Come and enjoy this gathering. Enjoy the fellowship and the love extended to each and every one. You are welcome.
• Happy anniversary to Janet and Henry James on Aug. 22. Hope you have a great celebration and a great year.
• Pray for Emma Swindle, Robert Swafford, LeVern James, Eskrine James and all that are sick.
• Continue to pray for our troops and our country. We need every prayer we can get.
