The Spurgeons will be singing tonight at Mineral Springs Baptist Church. It will start at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

• A special happy birthday to a sweetie, Taylor Arledge, on Aug. 24. Taylor will be 3.

• There will be a very special meeting at the Warrior Community Center on Sept. 11. Mavis Lawson will be the speaker. If you have never heard her, you are really missing out. Come on out and join us.

• Happy birthday today to Joan Martin. I hope it is wonderful.

• Happy anniversary to Oliver and Virginia Harper on Aug. 24.

• Happy birthday to: Greg Hays on Aug. 25; Randy Wolford, Caleb Boatright, and my brother-in-law, Bill Dickinson all on Aug. 26; and Sharon Ragland on Aug. 27. I hope they all are great.

• The Tyler family celebrates three birthdays this month, father, son and daughter — Coy turns 10 on Aug. 25, Travis turns the big “4-0” on Aug. 26 and Kiley turns 3 on Aug. 29. I hope they are all special.
