Christmas concert to be held tomorrow

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is tomorrow. This is a great day to reflect on the events of that day.
•Angel Food Ministries is selling boxed meals that will feed up to six people. For more information, please call David or Nita Clark at The Church Revived at 229-7378 or 229-7421, or email them at david@thechurchrevived.org. The deadline to order is Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
• The Gardendale Arts Council and the City of Gardendale are proud to present an annual Christmas concert performed by the Birmingham Community Concert Band. The concert will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center in the Exhibition Hall. All are encouraged to come and bring family and friends. Thanks go out to the community for all of the support given to the Arts Council.
• The deadline to enter the Gardendale Beautification Commission’s Christmas decorating contest is Monday. Judging will be Dec. 15. The contest is for businesses and homeowners in Gardendale city limits. Applications can be picked up at city hall, the public library and the Gardendale Civic Center. They can returned to city hall or mailed to: Gardendale Beautification Commission, P.O. Box 1681, Gardendale, AL, 35071.
•Aegis Women’s Group is sponsoring its annual Christmas Home Tour on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. There are four homes on the tour. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at In Full Bloom, at Merle Norman or from any Aegis member. No children younger than 10 allowed on the tour. Children 10 and older must have their own tickets.
•The town of Kimberly will host its fourth annual Christmas parade on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. There is no entry fee. For an application, call Mona at Kimberly Town Hall, 647-5551. A tree-lighting ceremony will follow at Kimberly Memorial Park.
