With several teams taking the week off for spring break, there is little movement in the latest installment of the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s baseball and softball poll.

The Corner baseball team appeared at No. 9 in last week’s Class 5A rankings, but a stretch of six loses to go with a single win has dropped the Yellow Jackets out of the Top 10.

Corner’s softball team also cracked the Top 10 in Week 2. They debuted at No. 8 in the Class 5A poll, and held strong in that slot this week. Meanwhile, Hayden stumbles one spot to No. 4 in the updated poll.

In Class 6A, Gardendale’s softball team holds its position at No. 4 in the state. For the first time of the year Pinson Valley has received nomination to enter the Class 6A rankings.
