Rev. Joseph Clarence Stripling, age 77 of Gardendale went to be with our Lord on November 30, 2008. He was a member of Haig Baptist Church, in Morris. He served our Lord, teaching and preaching for 49 years here on earth. His testimony will last a life time through the message left behind. His joy came from serving the Lord and his family.

He is survived by his spouse of 58 years, Mrs. Betty Stripling; son, Kenny (Melinda) Stripling, of Oneonta; daughters, Debbie (Mike) Reeser of Gardendale, wendy (Steve) Brown, of Vestavia Hills; nine grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of honorary children and grandchildren. The service was held December 3, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial at Moncrief Cemetery. Rev. Billy Martin, Pastor of Haig Baptist Church officiated.
