Jacqueline Shirley, 19, and her daughter, Emma, had not been seen or heard from for much of this week. They formerly were residents of Child Haven and in recent months had rented an apartment in the city, Assistant Police Chief Craig Green said.

“Child Haven actually initiated the report because we understand they were regularly still in contact with Miss Shirley and her daughter,” Green said.

The apartment is still rented in Cullman. Shirley drives a black, four-door 1993 Chevy Lumina with an Alabama license plate of 25 CY816.

The missing persons alert was issued throughout the Southeast.
