Gardendale held homestanding Dora to single digits in the first half, as the Rockets rolled to a mercy-rule 70-29 victory over the Bulldogs in girls basketball action Monday night.

Junior center Joy Sadler had a double-double for Gardendale, scoring 20 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. Alissa Cornelius had 14 points, Brook Adair added 11 and Kalyn Davis had 10 for the Rockets.

Madison Clayton led Dora (3-12) with 20 points.

Gardendale (11-8) travels to Woodlawn on Friday night.
