Best film of year

This week I had to travel out of Cullman to enjoy the best film of the year, Talk to me, staring Don Cheadle.
This film is based on the true story of Petey Greene, an ex-con who finds his calling as a radio DJ in 1960’s Washington D.C.
After being incarcerated Greene discovers his ability to not only talk to the public but to relate to them, which is important because it is the same hustle that gets his prison sentence eliminated.
Once Greene was released from prison he headed a radio station and basically forced the suits to hire him. No one wanted him there, mostly because he was an ex-con but more so because he had no experience.
This film had everything I could ever want in a drama, from intense fight scenes, to the saddest day in the 1960’s.
At a time when the country mourned the loss of the greatest civil rights leader in Martin Luther King Jr, Greene was there to keep peace in the burning city.
The film is an inspirational tale of how a man can go from the scourge of society to the strongest pillar that holds the community together. For that reason alone people should go in droves to see this film.
Honestly I have no criticism for this film. It truly inspired me to speak the truth no matter the consequence. Not even if it means losing the one thing that I have worked so hard for. That is what a person in a position of power is supposed to do.
