“Did you vote for Obama?” Joe Hubbard, the Democratic candidate opposing Republican incumbent Luther Strange in the state attorney general’s race, is apparently unwilling to answer that question posed by a University of Alabama student via Twitter. Strange was quick to answer that he voted for Mitt Romney in the 2008 presidential election. The question stems from a similar one posed in a Louisville Courier-Journal editorial-board interview of Alison Lundergan Grimes, the Democratic challenger to Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader of the U.S. Senate. Grimes refusal to say whether or not she voted for Barack Obama has suddenly stopped her momentum in that race, where polls showed Grimes previously having a chance of upsetting the longtime Senator in the November mid-term elections.

Sports: Royal streak. After missing out on the Major League Baseball post-season for nearly three decades, Kansas City suddenly finds itself in the 2014 World Series, thanks to winning all eight playoff games so far. The Royals completed their four-game sweep of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday afternoon, as they defeated Baltimore 2-1. it’s the first time the Royals have been in the Fall Classic since 1985. Meanwhile, San Francisco has taken a 3-1 lead in the National League Championship series, thanks to a 6-4 come-from-behind win over St. Louis Wednesday night in Game 4 of the series. Buster Posey drove in three runs for the Giants, who will try to win the series tonight with Madison Bumgarner on the mound. The Cardinals will put Adam Wainwright on the hill tonight (7 p.m., Fox Sports 1).
