One solitary life is the reason for the season

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
• Here is a young man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled 200 miles from where He was born. He never did the things that usually accompanies greatness. He had no credentials but himself. Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the central figure of the human race. All the armies and navies and parliaments and kings put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as has that one solitary life.
• Happy belated birthday to Bill Dickinson. He turned 60 on Dec. 16.
• Happy anniversary to my stepson and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Nancy Doyle on Dec. 28.
• Happy Birthday to: Lea Anne Kyle and Ellen Mikell on Dec. 23; Angie Kyle and William Samuals on Christmas Day; Christy Boatright on Dec. 26; Rachel Banks, Jerri Metcalf and Laurell Boehm on Dec. 28; and Velma Nochols, Wendy Lowe and Joyce Tyler on Dec. 29. I hope they all are great.
• Have a wonderful week and a very merry Christmas.
