Want to work at Gardendale’s new Publix store? Check out their job fair this week

The long-awaited opening of the new Publix supermarket in Gardendale is finally at hand, and the company has some job openings to fill.
To that end, Publix will hold a job fair this Friday and Saturday. Applications will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center.
A statement issued by the Lakeland, Fla.-based chain says that openings are available in all departments. No opening date for the new store was listed.

Publix was ranked in both 2012 and 2013 as one of the nation’s 100 Best Companies to Work For by Fortune Magazine, and was placed 77th on that list last tear.
The new Publix store had been “coming soon” to Gardendale for several years until a new developer took over Magnolia City Place, located at Fieldstown Road and Odum Road.
