Oakleigh White went for 12 points, and Christina Skinner filled the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals for the Lady Bearcats, who celebrated their first win of the winter. Taiya Ponder provided a spark with seven points, four rebounds and four steals in what coach Jonathan Hayes called “the best game she’s had so far.”

Other Cullman contributors were Anna Bowden, six points; Anna Evans, four points and four steals; and Maddi Lee, two points.

“I thought we did a much better job rebounding and taking care of the ball, something we have been working on,” Hayes said. “It was good to have Baylee back. We are limiting her minutues, though she did a good job scoring 15 points while only playing 10-12 minutes.”

The Bearcats will continue tourney play Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Oneonta.
