Well it is officially here — I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas.

• I am very happy to report my father came home this past week. He is still recovering, but we are glad he is home. Thank you for all of your continued support and prayers.

• The Fultondale Elementary PTA would like to remind you that every first Thursday of the month at the Fultondale Zaxby’s is Fultondale PTA night from 4 to 9 p.m. The PTA gets 15 percent of the sales donated to them during these hours. Thursdays are also 99 cent kids meal night. What a good opportunity to have a dinner out with the family and support our PTA at the same time. I hope to get updates soon on how well this is going.

• The Fultondale Education Committee (FEC) meets the first Wednesday of each month in the high school media center at 5:30 p.m.

• The Fultondale United Methodist Church will be hosting the CareNet community lunch on Jan. 6 after service. The menu includes chicken tetrazzini, green beans, carrots, bread, peach cobbler, tea and coffee. Adult plates are $6, ages 4-12 are $4 and ages 4 and under are free. • We have had to change our date once again. Princess Girlz will be Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at the BDSA Friendship Hall. This will be our second annual crowning ceremony. For more information, visit us at www.princessgirlz.org
