Gardendale put up 26 points in the first quarter — as many as visiting Dora scored in the entire game — as the Rockets cruised to a 65-26 victory in girls basketball action Tuesday.

Alissa Cornelius led Gardendale with 10 points. Kalyn Davis, Brittany Adair and Joy Sadler added nine points each.

Madison Clayton led all scorers with 13 points for the Bulldogs (0-6).

The Rockets (6-2) travel to Mortimer Jordan on Friday night.
