Scholarships awarded in memory of student
Graduating seniors at Hayden High School received numerous accolades and scholarships at a senior night celebration on Thursday.
However, the most poignant presentation came at the end of the evening when two scholarships were presented in honor of Courtney Niceley, one of three students killed in a car wreck in November 2007.
Fultondale Police seek robbery suspect
The Fultondale Police Department is seeking a man suspected of robbing a convenience store on Tuesday.
The incident happened at 9 p.m. at the Chevron station at 2500 Walker Chapel Road.
Det. David Rogers said a white male entered the business and asked for change for a $1 bill from a female cashier.
Veterans groups to host Memorial Day program Monday
Two veterans groups in Fultondale are again working together to honor American military veteran for Memorial Day.
North Jefferson VFW Post No. 10250 and American Legion Post No. 255 will host the 14th annual Memorial Day program at the North Jefferson Veterans Memorial Wall in Fultondale at 10 a.m.
