No damage has been reported across north Jefferson County after last night’s thunderstorms.
However, there is a slight chance of isolated storms for this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service out of Birmingham.
The weather service said storms are possible through 6 p.m. this evening as a cold front pushes its way across Central Alabama.
The main weather threat is the possibility of heavy rain, small hail and damaging winds. Isolated tornadoes could also be possible with these storms. Flooding is also a possibility.
Expect sunny skies and cooler temperatures on Sunday with another chance of strong to severe storms on Thursday.
