Concert set for Dec. 5
The Gardendale Arts Council and the city of Gardendale are presenting their annual free Christmas concert Dec. 5, 3-4 p.m., at the Gardendale Civic Center Exhibition Hall featuring the Birmingham Community Concert band.
AEGIS home tour Dec. 5
AEGIS of Gardendale will host a Christmas Home Tour on Dec. 5, 1-5 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from any AEGIS member or from Merle Norman, Iberia Bank, MJ’s on Main or In Full Bloom. Three homes are on the tour this year:
• Beth and Matthew Slaughter, 5308 Whispering Pines
• Emily and Jim Cazola, 6461 Glen Forest Drive
• Susan and Shane Peacock, 4690 Northridge Drive

Christmas events on tap
North Jefferson has several Christmas parades and other events planned, including:
• Dec. 2, 6 p.m., Gardendale Christmas parade
• Dec. 4, 10 a.m., Morris Christmas parade. Lineup is at 9:30 a.m. at Mortimer Jordan High School
• Dec. 4, 6 p.m., Kimberly Christmas parade (rain date is Dec. 11). Lineup is at 5 p.m. at Bryan Elementary School
• Dec. 6, 7 p.m., the city of Fultondale is having its Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the park behind Fultondale City Hall. Refreshments served starting at 6:30 p.m.
• Dec. 9, 6-8:30 p.m., Gardendale High School Concert Choir will perform a Christmas concert at the school
• Dec. 11, 1 p.m., Trafford Christmas parade. Lineup is at noon at the ball fields
