St. Bernard Preparatory School President, Fr. Joel Martin, O.S.B., has announced several key academic appointments and program enhancements as the school prepares for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Fr. Dominic Lee, O.S.B.,  has been named Assistant Headmaster. Fr. Dominic, a monk of St. Bernard Abbey for nearly 12 years, has served the school since his ordination and holds degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy from Belmont Abbey College, as well as an advanced degree in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Anselm in Rome. In his new role, he will oversee student discipline, chair the Discipline Committee, and continue teaching Mathematics.

A veteran educator and a cornerstone of the Mathematics department, Kim Whaley will now serve as Dean of the Faculty. In this role, she will support the Headmaster and faculty in academic standards and curriculum implementation, serve on the Discipline Committee and maintain her teaching responsibilities.

Former Abbot of St. Bernard Abbey, Rt. Rev. Cletus Meagher will now serve as Chaplain for the school. Abbot Cletus brings decades of spiritual leadership to the role and will provide pastoral care for students, faculty and staff, working closely with Sr. Thérèse and the monks of the Abbey.

Recognizing the importance of college readiness, St. Bernard Prep is introducing an intensive ACT workshop to be held during the fall semester. An experienced outside instructor will conduct sessions integrated into the school day, offering students focused preparation at no additional cost.

“These appointments and initiatives represent our commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth,” Fr. Joel said. “We invite any families who are interested in learning more to join us for an informational meeting this summer.”
