Cullman Middle School’s archery team recently competed in the Alabama State Championship for archery, and won it all as the top overall middle school team in the state.
CMS’s archery team beat out 31 other schools in the competition, with a total of 706 middle school archers competing in the event.
The top performers for Cullman Middle School included Gabby Sartin (289), Owen Murphy (287), Audrey Britton (283), Addison Howard (282), Thatcher Lucas (280), Harper Easterwood (279), Hayes Nicholas (278), Brooklynn Moore (278), Caylyn Hicks (275), Ryland Black (273), Trent Henderson (273) and Payton Jones (272).
Gabby Sartin placed 2nd in the state for female shooters overall, while Murphy was 4th overall among male shooters.
The Cullman Middle School archery team is coached by Jana Grimes, Shawn Cornellies and Josh Lucas.
