Cullman ‘cultural scene’ earns national recognition

Cullman has achieved national recognition by securing the #2 spot for Best Small Town Cultural Scene in the 2025 USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this national recognition,” said Harmony Heard, Executive Director of Tourism for Cullman County. “This award is a testament to the creative energy and deep-rooted pride of our community. Cullman’s cultural scene is thriving thanks to the people who make it so special. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our local culture — it’s your passion and involvement that bring our town to life.”
According to a statement from the tourism department, “Cullman has invested heavily in creating a welcoming and culturally rich destination for visitors and residents alike. With its charming downtown, world-class festivals and events, beautiful attractions and a strong commitment to preserving and promoting local heritage, Cullman is quickly becoming the must-visit cultural hub in the South.”
Officials thanked “residents, businesses, volunteers and visitors who make Cullman such a vibrant and unique place to experience.”
“We’re so grateful to everyone — locals, fans, visitors and supporters — who cast their votes for Cullman,” said Heard. “Your support helped shine a national spotlight on our town, and we’re proud to share this recognition with each and every one of you.”
