PREP GOLF: Cold Springs boys, West Point girls claim county titles

Cold Springs’ varsity boys and West Point’s varsity girls conquered the competition at this week’s Cullman County golf tournament to take home their respective team crowns.
The Eagles — led by Ty Peppers, Clayton Terry, Eli Voce and Liam Epperly — carded a two-day total of 637 to edge four-time defending champion West Point (650) for the top spot.
The Warriors, meanwhile, earned their fourth straight title behind solid performances from Charli Aris, Allie Freeman and Colbi Aris.
Peppers and Charli Aris each earned medalist honors following the two-day event, which was contested at Chesley Oaks on Wednesday and Cross Creek on Thursday.
