VINEMONT — Good Hope made it crystal clear Tuesday that it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The Raiders downed Cold Springs 17-2 in the semifinals and then rolled past West Point 11-1 later in the afternoon to win their second straight county softball championship.

Molly Benefield dominated in the circle, scattering two hits and eight strikeouts, while Lizzy Steed powered the offense with three hits and three RBIs, including her walk-off, two-run single in the fifth inning.

Natalie Miller added a bases-clearing double in the decisive frame, and Kylee Smith, Haley Lay and Addyson Burgess also provided run-scoring hits during the game.
