The 82nd Annual Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Gala celebrated two women who have dedicated their lives to the service of their communities and a business that has served Cullman County for 60 years.
Longtime Cullman Economic Development Agency Director Peggy Smith was honored with the Emma Marie Eddleman Citizenship Award.
Smith served for more than three decades at the Cullman Economic Development Agency before departing in 2017 to lead the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce before retiring in 2022.
The Lucille Galin Public Service Award was given to Linda Pope who served as Holly Pond’s town clerk for 41 years.
Small Business of the Year was awarded to Mary Carter Store.
