Cullman County Schools and AmFirst recognize a teacher and staff member each month of the school year who is going above and beyond in their profession.

The March Teacher of the Month is Patrick McDonald who teaches health at Good Hope High School.

“He’s not only the best health teacher in town, but he also handles the strength and conditioning of every athlete on our campus. In the classroom, his lessons are engaging and he pays extra attention to make sure they are also relevant to the students, making them aware of how and why they should take care of their health,” said Adriana Skutchan, Good Hope High Assistant Principal.

CCBOE and AmFirst surprised Coach “Mac”, as the students call him. Upon visiting his classroom, students were learning about CPR.

Fairview Middle School Secretary Linda Chapman is the Staff Member of the Month for March.

“Linda consistently goes above and beyond for everyone at Fairview Middle School. She greets every person who walks through the door with kindness, warmth, and a genuine smile. Her positive outlook and caring nature shine through as she always seeks the best in people and provides comfort when others are in need,” said Trina Walker, Fairview Middle School Principal.

Each teacher and staff member of the month receive a $100 gift card.
