LOCAL SPORTS: Cold Springs’ Dickerson named Athlete of the Week

 Ella Dickerson gave it her all to close out her junior season. 

The Cold Springs standout registered 10 points in a Sweet 16 win over Sulligent and 18 points in an Elite Eight loss to No. 1 Decatur Heritage this past week. 

She added a handful of rebounds, assists, steals and blocks across those two games, while shooting 50 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free-throw line, en route to being named to the Class 2A All-Northwest Regional Tournament team.

Lexi Marshall, Good Hope: Had 12 points against Dora. 

Madison Butts, Holly Pond: Had 18 points against Phil Campbell. 

Millie McBee, Holly Pond: Had 16 points against Lauderdale County. 

Jaelyn Faulkner, West Point: Had 22 points against Arab.
