Beans and Greens Dinner
Holly Pond Lions Club will host its annual Beans and Greens Dinner at the Holly Pond Lions Club Saturday, March 8, from 4-7 p.m. Donations only. Proceeds will benefit community service projects. The Holly Pond Lions Club will accept donated canned and non-perishable food items to benefit the food pantry located between Holly Pond Town Hall and the Holly Pond Fire Department. Drop them off at the pantry or at the Beans and Greens Dinner.
Master Gardeners to meet Feb. 20
Cullman County Master Gardeners will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the County Extension Office, 402 Arnold Street, NE, Cullman. At 11 a.m. John Lynch will speak about Propagating Plants from Cuttings. Current, former and prospective members are invited to attend.
Musicians invited to acoustic circle
Every Thursday from 4-8 p.m. musicians with acoustic instruments are invited to Bethel Community Center — just off U.S. 278 West on County Road 1117 — to play bluegrass, gospel and country. Consider bringing a dish for a covered dish supper. No fee, but donations are appreciated for building upkeep.
CCPS kindergarten, pre-K registration information for 2025
A parent meeting for incoming Cullman City Primary School kindergartners is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the school gym. Registration will be open before the meeting, from 3:30-5 p.m., as well as after the meeting from 6-7 p.m. Documents needed for registration include the student’s birth certificate; a rent, mortgage or lease agreement; a current power bill; updated immunization form; parent or guardian’s drivers license; and any custody/divorce paperwork, if applicable.
Additional kindergarten registration dates will be Wednesday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Friday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Friday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those registered by May 9 will receive a letter from the school by mid-July with their teacher’s information. Those not registered by that date will receive their child’s kindergarten teacher’s information at CCPS open house.
Empty Bowls
The 20th Annual Empty Bowls of Cullman County, a fundraising dinner held on behalf of the Cullman Caring for Kids Food Bank, returns Feb. 17 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Hearin Hall inside Cullman’s First United Methodist Church (320 3rd Ave SE, Cullman).
This year’s evening will include:
— Southern Gospel Music by Enell Baker, plus Brian Westbrook and the Misfits.
— Chili and a grilled cheese sandwich by Three Guys.
— Handmade pottery bowls made by local potters.
— Silent Auction.
— Special Guest MC Nate Williams — Co-Host for Priority Talk Radio, WXJC Truth 101.1.
Dinner tickets for Empty Bowls are $15 per guest, and are available at Cullman Caring for Kids as well as First United Methodist Church in Cullman. Businesses and individuals wishing to pitch in may donate items for the Silent Auction, which can be dropped off at Cullman Caring for Kids.

St. Paul’s Lutheran School benefit dinner, auction
The annual St. Paul’s Lutheran School benefit dinner and auction will be Saturday, March 1, at 5 p.m. at The Venue at Cotton Creek, 417 3rd Ave. S.W. Ticket and table purchase information is available at stpaulscullmanptl.com or stpaulscullman.square.site or in the school office.

Grief support group
A grief support group will meet every Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 615 3rd avenue S.E., Cullman. Contact Reverend Warren Roland at 256-962-2521, for more information.
Ladies conference
A Ladies conference will be Saturday, June 7, At The Foot Of The Cross Church, 2101 Co. Rd. 1435, Vinemont, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with lunch at 12 p.m. Guest speaker will be Kristy Garrison Harris who will present “Trusting God through every season.” There will be games and door prizes.
4th Annual Homecoming
At the Foot of the Cross Church, 2101 Co Rd 1435, Vinemont, will host a homecoming Saturday, March 1, at 2 pm. Joyful Hearts, Short Creek Gospel Trio and Family Tradition will be provide music. Hot Dogs and hamburgers will be provided.
Fused Glass Art Class
The Cullman Senior Center, 1539 Sportsman Lake Road NW Cullman, will be the location for a Fused Glass Art Class with Kimberly Love March 18, at 12:30 p.m. Participants will create a flower pot magnet. $22 Per Person, seating is limited. Deadline to register is March 4.
Heartland Quilt Guild to meet
Heartland Quilt Guild will meet Thursday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Covenant Presbyterian church, 1310 St. Joseph Dr. Cullman.

The Cullman Serenity AlAnon group meets on Mondays at 12 p.m. at 1519 St. Joseph Drive NE. The Food Basket

Medical equipment ministry
Cullman First United Methodist Church has a medical equipment ministry that can loan items, for no charge, to those in need in the community. If you or someone you know is in need of medical items, or would like to donate good used equipment, contact the church office at 256-734-6690.
Overeaters anonymous

Refuge Recovery
Refuge Recovery, service for helping to break the bonds of addiction through the power and love of Jesus Christ, will meet every Monday night at the Refuge Church of God, 1115 East, US-278, Cullman. Never Forget Rose Garden donations

Volunteers needed to deliver homebound meals
There are several local senior centers in Cullman County in need of volunteers to deliver homebound meals. These are our most vulnerable seniors in the community. If you can help, call Commission on Aging centers:

Deliveries are between 10 a.m. and noon, Monday-Friday. Multiple days are open weekly.
Mileage reimbursement is optional. Volunteers must have own transportation.
Kiwanis to meet
Cullman Kiwanis members meet on Monday at Freddie Day Catering, 1628 2nd Ave., NW, Cullman, from 12-1 p.m. Everyone welcome.
VFW dinner fundraisers

Siren test
Cullman County EMA will test area sirens on the first Wednesday morning of every month.
