Cullman County Schools are reminding drivers to stop for school buses.

In a video released by CCBOE (with permission from the student’s parent), a vehicle does not stop for a Cullman County School bus dropping off students after school.

“Illegal passings happen daily in Cullman County, and we need this to STOP,” reads a press release from Cullman County Schools. “Watch this video, as an elementary student at Holly Pond K-8 is about to get off the bus Wednesday afternoon and cross Highway 278.

“We commend bus driver Colby Adams for his professional handling of this situation, and are thankful this student was not hurt. Passing a stopped bus is illegal — and we are in contact with the sheriff’s office about this case.”
