A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, has claimed the life of a Cullman man.

According to troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Koby E. Tankersley, 23, was killed when the 2001 Ford Ranger he was driving left the roadway, struck a fire hydrant and then a cable box. After the impact, the Ford overturned and struck multiple trees. Tankersley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Cullman County 616 near Cullman County 468, approximately four miles west of Hanceville. Nothing further is available as ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
